Groupon Q&A
Q:
Any one paid for the online nail course?
Sorry, I have not made this purchase. I, personally, have had no problems with anything I have purchased from Groupon. The customer service people exhaust every effort to make sure you are happy with your purchase.

Remember an on line course is going to be whatever you get out of it. Don't expect more than what you pay for they are very basic and if a certificate is given at the end it probably won't mean much

Q:
Are the courses advertised on groupon real?
Yes they are real. Check to see if certification is included or if you have to pay extra. I took the nutrition course and it was good, but they have deadlines to meet and I had to put it off and the course expired, so when you sign on to do the course, make sure you can do it before the deadline or you will not get credit and will lose your money. The courses are good. Go directly to the website of the course first though to see if you can get it cheaper. Coursera also offers free courses and you can pay to get certified at any time during the course.

Q:
Is this a safe and legitimate website
NO IT IS NOT. They will rob you! The first purchase I made was for the beauty bar. I tried to call the number on the groupon and it was some ladies apartment and personal line. So then they refund me and I purchase a hotel room. Was it the right place? No! When I went they said they were not affiliated with the groupon! I tried to reach out to groupon they told me it was out of their hands. If you don't mind taking a risk. Go ahead. But don't like the prices blind you.

They are legit until you have a problem and then they act like con artists lying and twisting their "policy" any which way in order to not refund anything. I will never use them again! The injustice I experienced is so ridiculous I would have gladly paid full price for tickets to the fair than to deal with their shifty customer service. When I tell you that they're the WORST, I mean it! Total scum bags! I'm going out of my way to let people know just how pathetic they are! I lost $42, but it's more about the principle. I feel bad for others on this site who have lost in the hundreds! I wish Groupon would be wiped from the face of the earth. They are a joke!

Absolutely not. This website is a scam. Their customer service is a joke and none of them try to even work with you if theres an issue. They will try everything and give you multiple different stories on why you cant get a refund even if its not in the fine print. Theyre pretty legit until you want your money back then they are not at all willing to work with you.

Q:
I am waiting for a refund from something I returned at the beginning of October. Every time I ask about it, I am given an apology and a promise of a refund within 5-7 working days. No refund arrives. Today I received an email telling me the 5-7 days have not yet elapsed. I am more than annoyed and have said so, explaining the history and copying emails. Should I report this as fraud, or what should I do? Thanks for your help!
Speak with the customer rep with facts and ask them to put you to the manager. The manager will respond faster

I would report them. They are horrible. I got my credit card company involved, it's still pending, but at least a credit card company has more resources and more clout than I do. I've also written to groupon telling the names of supervisors I spoke with and how unprofessional and mean they where.

Report them. They do this constantly and people need to know. Do some reviews, tell them you have then reviews. Feedback is the only thing that might change them.

Hi. I would like to know what merchants are saying about Groupon.
I Am not a merchant but have not had a problem with the merchants that advertise through Groupon.

Groupon is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. If you want your identity stolen, go ahead and sign up to do business with them. Isign ed up for a coupon once and my email was flooded with scammers trying to cheat me.

I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
